Picture taken in Kohala, on the Island of Hawai'i. Picture shows two archaeologists using GPS (Geographic Positioning System) units to record ancient Hawaiian wall and trail alignments--part of a multi-year project to map the Kohala Field Systems. This study hopes to establish how the huge complex of walls and trails making up the Kohala Field System developed over time. Return to Archaeology Labs Guide Homepage
